ESL Teacher Training: February 24th at UTD and LIFT

  

Are you interested in teaching adults how to read, write and speak English?   Julie Brown, Director of LIFT’s English as a Second Language (ESL) Program, will be offering an ESL teacher training class from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, February 24th.  No previous teaching experience is required.

The first half of the training will take place from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the University of Texas at Dallas.  The second half of the training will take place from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at LIFT, 1610 S. Malcolm X Blvd., Suite 320.

SEE Teacher Training: March 3 and March 24

Karen Guida, Director of the Adult Basic Literacy Education Program, will be hosting two SEE teacher training events in March.

  • SEE 2 Training:   Saturday, March 3:   10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at LIFT
  • SEE 1 Training:   Saturday, March 24:   10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at LIFT

The training is open to all new ABE/SEE teachers and any current ABE/SEE volunteers who want a refresher on teaching SEE.
