POSITION TITLE: Student Enrollment Manager and Career Navigator (Part-Time)
EXEMPT STATUS: Non Exempt
REPORTS TO: President and CEO
SUPERVISES: Volunteers, as needed
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in a directly related field
EXPERIENCE: Three years directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
Administers programs for student assessment, enrollment, and ongoing advisement. Provide coordination of career pathway system under guidelines and standards set by the Texas Workforce Commission for AEL programs and activities.
- Coordinate and implement career pathways system that recruits adult students; allows students to set career goals based on regional labor market demands and student interests and abilities; provides career guidance, transition, and retention support; and successful transition to training and job placement.
- Manages and coordinates community workshops, special events, and recruitment efforts; arranges visits and tours for prospective adult students.
- Manages student enrollment processes in CRM system.
- Coordinates record-keeping for student and organizational payments.
- Coordinates and implements various recruitment programs and marketing strategies for adult programs and special events.
- Provides career and academic counseling, planning, and advising to potential students utilizing specific knowledge gained of training and educational programs and degrees.
- Coordinates student transportation processes, including bus transportation.
- Prepares reports and other documents as required.
- Develops operating goals and objectives for student recruitment, student enrollment, and assist with program coordination; implements and administers methods and procedures to enhance and continually improve operations.
- Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned.
- All grant funded incumbents of this position must comply with time and effort reporting
- Demonstrated knowledge of the purpose and general operation of adult, community education, and workforce development programs.
- Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. Department of Labor and O*Net Online resources.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Texas CTE Career Clusters and Resource Center Programs of Study.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement career counseling and workforce development programs.
- Demonstrated knowledge of state AEL and educational curricula standards and requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with other departments, volunteers, and community partners.
- Demonstrated knowledge of basic computer skills and software.
- Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
- Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments.
- Excellent organizational and coordination skills.
- Ability to analyze course prerequisites and/or curricula requirements.
